West Coast youngsters Dom Sheed and Jackson Nelson have signed new two-year contracts with the club.

The duo were due to come out of contract at the end of the season, but the new deals ensure they’ll remain Eagles until the end of 2019 at least.

“I feel very fortunate to get a two-year deal done and I’m excited to be here for the next couple of years,” Sheed said.

“It’s great to see the young guys getting games and really standing up and playing their role.”

Nelson was also rapt to continue his career at West Coast.

“I’m stoked with the result, it’s good that the club’s put some faith in me, I’m stoked to be here for another couple of years,” he said.

“It’s been a good start to my career so far, it’s definitely exciting to be with guys like Dom Sheed, Tom Barrass, Tom Cole and Liam Duggan who are all part of the group who can take the club forward.”

Since debuting in 2014, Sheed has played 50 games. Nelson, who debuted in 2015, has 27 matches to his credit.
