Protea Place Host Region's International Women's Day Luncheon

Toowoomba's International Women's Day luncheon is back, the wonderful team at Protea Place will celebrate the achievements of many.

A day which recognises the importance of women in everyday life, the annual event will draw to attention to many important issues while raising money for an exceptional cause.

Protea Place look after vulnerable women across the Darling Downs community, CEO Amanda Dalton joined Lee to discuss the event.

"This year we really wanted to honour some amazing women in our own community who have faced adversity and been through some challenging and difficult times," Amanda said

Community members will hear guest speakers which include Doctor Lauren Humby, Alison Kennedy and Melissa Keogh-Lancaster at Fitzy's.
