Surgery Confirmed For Jesse Hogan

Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin has confirmed Jesse Hogan will need surgery.

Hogan broke his collarbone in the third term against North Melbourne, and immediately raced off the field favouring his shoulder.

Goodwin confirmed after the match Hogan would need to go under the knife.

However, Goodwin refused to rule him out for the season.

It is the latest setback this year for the 22-year-old.

The Demons star has played just eight games this season after copping a suspension in round three and four, before being diagnosed with testicular cancer a few weeks later.
