Sydney Tower Skywalk Reopens With New Safety Measures After Woman's Fatal Fall

Sydney Tower's Skywalk has reopened today with new safety measures after an incident last month which saw a woman plunge to her death.
The company has replaced the full restraint belt worn by visitors on the Observation Deck, and instead opted for a full-body fall restraint harness.
"The new fall restraint harness is worn under the Skywalk body suit and is fitted over the shoulder of each guest, the belt is then safely clipped together by a Skywalk professional," Sydney Tower Eye divisional director Rob Smith said.
Training is also provided to visitors before the tour, with them also needing to sign a declaration form to confirm that they will not tamper with the safety equipment or remove it during the tour.
All proceeds from today's tours will be donated to Lifeline.
