Toowoomba Cricket President Pays Tribute To Shane Warne

The recent passing of Shane Warne has shocked the entire country, and tributes are flowing from all across the globe given the impact of the cricket legend.

President of the Toowoomba Cricket Association, Angus Rathie joined Lee to discuss the immeasurable impact the King of Spin had on the sport.

"It was a great shock when you're sitting there over your Weetbix and you're looking at the news .. especially coming on the back of Rod Marsh's passing as well," Rathie said.

Lee and Angus talked about the influence Warnie had on young Australians eager to make their mark in the sport.

"He reinvigorated cricket in a lot of ways, he had the personality, he was up for the challenge, he always had something to offer and something to say and he got people interested," Rathie explained.

"When Warnie came in to ball everyone sat up and watched because they knew something was about to happen."

The father of three passed away in Thailand last Saturday at the age of 52.
